The State of Things, March 2010

Once again, this is an annual feature where we run down what's going on, what's not going on, and what might be going on in the future. Other companies will do these for the sake of stockholders. Here, it's just for the curious really.

The plan for last year, as you may recall, was to shift design focus away from nice shiny boxed games like The Massive Vs. The Masses, and instead concentrate on games that could be played or downloaded over the internet. Naturally, this incurred the wrath of Murphy's Law, and we were faced with a year full of server compromises, hard drive failures, and other computer related headaches.

The good news is, we actually kept most important files backed up through all of this. So while various projects were set back, things are generally still moving along. The better news is that we've stumbled into a situation where we can begin development on some more technically sophisticated projects. Specifically, flash games. Hopefully, you'll be seeing the results of that in not too long.

Meanwhile, in the realm of physical products, The Massive Vs. The Masses has been getting some more public attention, with a favorable review in Pyramid, and a mention in the Dork Forest Radio podcast. We also have a new card game in the works, which won't be fut to see the light of day any time soon.

So, in summary, we have a lot of exciting things in the works just now, but you aren't getting details on any of them because after two straight years of every prediction made in these coming out completely false, we have learned our lesson. So, in 2010, let's look forward to no games seeing release, no existing products seeing a sudden influx in sales, and for the much needed overhaul the website could use not happening! Dread it everyone!
